In this video, I’ll show you how to create a webinar using Demio and integrate that with Drip and Leadpages. So when you login to Demio account, most likely you’re going to come to this view. And as you can see on the top left, you can add new event and when you click on it and come up with your webinar title. So let me just call that just to show you here. Test webinar and then you can use tags.
[00:00:37.430]
I have productivity tag here. You can use other Tags, whatever you want. So you can use Tags here. Let’s say test. And then you can write your description, come up with a date.
[00:00:56.040]
So let’s just pick one just to show you here. Then click on Continue.
[00:01:04.110]
And then you come to this page and you can set up some webinar preferences. What is your chat preference for attendees? So right now it’s private and I’m keeping it private. Do you want to redirect attendees after the webinar? So default is no.
[00:01:23.650]
You can choose yes. And then you can put in your link and then it shows the day and the date and the time that you’ve chosen for your webinar. And you can also do series. But in this case right now, I’m just going to say save or I haven’t made any changes yet. But the next step really is to go on the top right here that you see Advanced and click on it and then you go to registration.
[00:01:57.750]
Okay. So what I’m going to do actually to save time, I already have set up one webinar and I’ve done some registration set up and I’ll show you how to do the next steps. I’m going to go back to let’s just say that, let’s just save it for now. Okay. And go back to my events.
[00:02:25.150]
And here’s the one that I created just last night and I’m going to go ahead and click on Edit. So it gives you the same view that I just showed you for the test webinar. So now you go to Advanced and go to registration.
[00:02:46.490]
Okay. Since I already have everything set up, it’s giving me this form to embed for registration. So I’m going to close that. Okay. And if you wanted to create your registration page from Demeanor and use that and you want to modify things, then you can do this launch editor and you can make modifications.
[00:03:14.600]
But I’m not going to go there for this demo. And you have the form embedded option. And for the registration integration, actually let me show you Edit. So when you create a new event and you go to Advanced and registration, you will see integration option. So you choose your integration.
[00:03:41.280]
So I already had integrated Drip with Demio. So that’s not what I’m showing here. I’m just showing here that once you integrate Drip with Demio, how do you create your webinar and use Drip as your integration for that webinar, maybe you have different integrations and for different webinars you might want to use different integration. So in this case I only have Drip. So that’s all it shows.
[00:04:14.410]
So I select Drip and then I choose my account. So if you have multiple accounts it’s going to show you different accounts in your Drip account. So you choose whichever one you want to integrate this webinar information or data with and then you select integration type. Now for integration type, it gives you either campaigns or workflows. So I like to use workflows.
[00:04:49.250]
And in the workflow then it gives you to Select I’m just going to use test. Okay, so now I have integrated Drip with my Drip Account Leadership Focus HQ and the workflow name is Test. So it’s nice that it tells you this Drip Leadership Focus HQ Account test. And that is a workflows. Then by default it has first name required and Email also required as a field.
[00:05:20.620]
Now you could choose, let’s say if you want to do last name as well and then you add text field. Now because of the Drip integration is so neat that it actually gives you all the custom field that you have in that particular Drip account and then you can select out of those. So if I had to choose last name then last name is over here. So then I would select that and then move on to if you want to create more text fields, custom fields and then add the ones that are existing in your Drip account, you can do that. Anyway, I’m going to remove this last name for this one anyway here.
[00:06:14.810]
And then the thank you page by default right now is Demio and it’s an optional so if you want to take people to a different thank you page, let’s say Lead pages. So in this case I’m going to talk about Lead Pages registration page and then possibly take them to either a custom Lead pages thank you page or just leave it as is. And then after registration the thank you page is really shown as Demio. Oh, thank you page by default. Now another neat thing you can see here.
[00:06:54.130]
One click email link. It’s a Drip modified or Drip customized email link. So this link down here, you can use this link in your Drip emails so that your subscribers can click on it and register for the webinar. This is really cool. Anyway, let’s just say save.
[00:07:27.690]
Okay, so it tells you here Registration saved. And then I’m going to use form and an embed version of form. So then it gives you a code. Now there are two options here. Form Embed or Pop over Embed.
[00:07:46.540]
Now since I’m going to show you Lead Pages landing page to drive traffic to and have people register and using a button in the lead pages, I’m going to not use the Pop over embed code. I’m just going to use form embed code and under form embed code, there are two types, unstyled and styled. Now style, you can change the color of the button. All it does is as far as I know, it gives you a button. And when you click that button, so if you install this code onto a page, then it’s going to give you a button with that color and that name.
[00:08:32.480]
So I did create this. I used the upper case for register. But then I decided to not use this because I like the template that I’m using for Lead pages. And in that template there is a nice button. And in that button it gives you a pop up lead box.
[00:08:51.680]
And on that lead box, I can use the HTML code widget to embed this unstyled code. So I’m using the unstyled code. You click on it and then you copy the whole code by command C on Mac and CTRL C on Windows. So then I’m going to close this. So then basically it’s done over here.
[00:09:25.630]
Let’s go to Leadpages. So what I’ve done in Lead Pages, I have actually created I’ve used a template and then I’ve modified a few things I’m not done. But just to show you in this template. So right now I’m using this button, save me a seat. And when I click on it, there’s a link, this chain icon here, click on that and then click underneath this to host webinar view edit.
[00:09:56.740]
I click on that, it takes me to this pop up lead box. And what I’ve done here is that I’ve modified this and I’ve not modified the title here. As you can see, I’ve modified this for my webinar.
[00:10:14.890]
Well, actually I have modified this title on this lead box here. And then I modified all this stuff. And then instead of a normal form on the pop up lead box, I deleted that and I inserted the HTML widget. And in this widget, I pasted the code that I copied from Demio. Okay, so that’s all I’ve done here.
[00:10:42.310]
So now let’s close out of here. And then if you go to preview.
[00:10:57.230]
So if I preview here and you can look at the preview for mobile tablet desktop, and then if I click on it, look what you get. So that widget, the HTML code that we just used, you get the form now, the first name, email, and this register button. Okay, so I’ve already registered, but let’s just show here.
[00:11:35.370]
Okay, so I put in my first name and my email and I say register. Boom. So then it goes to the Demio thank you page, because I’ve not defined a thank you page for my own for if I want to use a lead pages thank you page. But basically it’s just a default thank you page, which works fine. And also one of the neat things is that this view right here, this unique webinar join link, is a unique link for me.
[00:12:11.620]
So when I registered, I got this link and this just simply tells you important details and then it gives you an option to add to your calendar. Okay? And I verified that when I registered I actually saw that email coming from Demio giving me all the details of the webinar and then also the unique link so that’s pretty much it hope it helps.
2. Video #2: How to create Automation Rules in Demio and use them in Drip Workflow
In this video, you will learn the following:

- What are the most common automation rules one should use for webinar registrants?
- How to use Demio Automation Rules in a Drip Workflow?

[00:00:00.610]
In this video, I’ll show you how to use automation rules inside Demio for your webinars. Hi, I’m Anil Agrawal, founder of MarketingAutomationFocus.com company name Agrawal Leadership LLC. Let’s jump right in. I’m going to go beyond showing you how to use automation rules integrated with Drip. I’ll also show you inside of Drip.
[00:00:30.790]
Just a quick peek at a workflow for the webinar how to use these automation rules. Just a quick video today. So let’s look at this right now. I just copied another webinar set up that I had in Demio just to demonstrate the automation rule. So I’ve already clicked on going to the top right here, clicking on automation that brings you to this screen.
[00:01:03.040]
And right now there are no automation rules. So you can click on add new rule. And here, since I am integrated with Drip, watch what happens on the left side here. They’re a bunch of triggers. So when this event happens, then you could take a bunch of actions.
[00:01:26.690]
Now if I click on registers, then I could add a tag on Drip, remove a tag, start on a workflow, remove from a workflow, add to a campaign, things like that. Now in the previous video I’ve shown you how to integrate that with a specific workflows. So assuming that’s done, so as soon as somebody registers, they go into this workflow. And at that time in that video I’d shown a test workflows. Now I have a different webinar template, Workflow Insider, Drip that I’ll show you in a bit and it’s got a different name but the concept is the same.
[00:02:09.440]
So once they register, you add a tag and then you put them into this workflow. Okay, you don’t have to add the tag. If you’re already applying a tag inside of your Drip workflows and you already integrated inside Demio as per my previous video, how to put them into a workflows, it’s just selecting a workflow. Okay. So then the real neat triggers are really does not attend or join webinar.
[00:02:47.580]
So there are two key ones. People register and then they do not attend or they join the webinar. Then they either joined late over here that you can choose how late you want to track. So I’m going to cancel out here for now. And then I’m just showing you all the options here, leaves early or complete the webinar.
[00:03:13.590]
So most of the time if you are selling something or if you just want to follow up, if someone leaves early. So if you’re making an offer towards the end of the webinar, then this would be an important one. So if someone leaves early and you can define five minutes, ten minutes early and then on the right side you can take an action on adding a tag. And if you add a tag, then you can use that tag inside Drip to show to follow up on those folks. So let’s just cancel out here.
[00:03:49.850]
And if people who do not attend, then you can apply appropriate tag as well. So you could say add a tag. Okay. And then I could just say did not attend. Okay.
[00:04:07.340]
And then I can save this rule. Right. And then I can add another rule for let’s say that they joined the webinar, that’s the high level check did not attend or attend it. So attendant in this case is join the webinar. So they joined the webinar in the beginning or at some point, and then join the webinar.
[00:04:35.810]
Let’s just say we’re just going to say attended webinar. Okay. When they join, that means they attended. Now, let’s quickly go into add another. So let’s say if they left early, okay.
[00:04:57.980]
So say ten to 20 minutes early. And I could just say left webinar early. Let’s say I can just even say ten to 20, okay. And then save the room now. So I got these three Tags.
[00:05:22.880]
So keep in mind, we’re doing leaves early, joins webinar, does not attend. Okay. These are the three that we’re putting. We can do more. We can do all kinds of automation.
[00:05:34.860]
So this is really, really powerful. So let’s go over to my Drip workflows. So here we are. In my Drip test account, I created a sample webinar template. I’m actually still working on it and adding more automation and it’s for registration and purchase follow up.
[00:05:59.130]
So based on Demio automation or actually registration page, which I showed in the previous video, I integrate that webinar with this workflow. So all the registrants will go into this workflows with that registration set up now with automation rules. They’re all in here. They will get reminders. So I’m not going into details or reminders right now for this video.
[00:06:32.510]
And then down here, there are basically applied the Tags of attendee or a no show that did not attend, basically. So I haven’t modified these based on the Tags that I just showed you. But you set up a goal or two goals here. And all those people who attended or did not attend will match the goals here will meet the goals, and then they will come here and then you make a decision whether they attended or not. So based on the tag that I just showed you in Demio inside of Demio, then if they actually attended, then I would add another decision here of a tag.
[00:07:21.350]
You can do tag. And then one of them was left webinar early, ten to 20. And you want to make sure that this tag is exactly the same phrase with exact upper case and lower cases. Otherwise, it’s not going to work. So the tag has to be exactly the same what you Typed in inside of Demio.
[00:07:53.080]
Okay. So those Tags would be applied for someone who left webinar early, ten to 20 minutes. So Demio attracts that. It’s amazing, right? So it’s like update decision.
[00:08:04.610]
And then you can follow up with an email action one off email to those people you can just say, hey, I understand that things got get in the way or whatever and you got interrupted and then you do the follow up, okay. And if you’re selling something, you can make an offer and then if they make a purchase then they meet this goal right here and if they did not leave early then it’s a separate path here for the decision. So that’s how you would do automation and use automation to communicate and engage with your webinar attendees or registrants who attended but left early and people who did not attend will go into the right path of the first decision that they actually did not attend. So then you can follow up with emails and make an offer, give them like an urgency of 24 hours or 48 hours or whatever that might be for you for your offer and then you can follow up and exit people who did not attend this workflows right now, I’m still working on it. I would actually add a goal of purchase as well.
[00:09:39.350]
In fact I could add that goal right at the bottom here.
[00:09:49.010]
Made it like a custom event or something or whatever integration that you have with stripe or PayPal the way they’re making a purchase and if they do that, you could do that as well. But for here you can do perform custom event made a purchase make sure that this custom event is actually a real event that comes through when somebody makes a purchase or you could use PayPal integration, PayPal integration or stripe if you’re using both that you could actually set up, let’s say charge succeeded. Okay, so you could do that and then you could also add PayPal if you have more than one way of people actually making a purchase then purchased an item. Okay, so you could add those as well. So I would actually do this here so I’m still working on this workflow but I just wanted to demonstrate how Demio webinar automation rules you can use in drip and this is amazing that you can follow up using this drip workflows and automation from both sides from Demio automation rules and then using those rules inside of drip so hope this is used to you and if you have any questions comment below.
Hope you enjoyed the above videos and I sincerely hope they help you in your business.
